EOT offers >9GHz amplified photodetectors for time domain and frequency response measurement for sub 1mw input powers.  Applications for the photodetectors include monitoring the output of externally modulated cw sources and mode-locked lasers for telecom, analog microwave and general R&D markets.  These photodetectors are available with either GaAs or InGaAs PIN photodiodes, their own built in transimpedance amplifier and power supply.  Running a coaxial cable from the SMA output connector on the photodetector to an oscilloscope or spectrum analyzer and terminating into 50Ώ is all that is required for operation.  These photodetectors are available with either a free space input or FC coupled fiber input.  Amplifier gain is 26dB for both the GaAs and InGaAs photodetectors.
