Operating Temperature: Performance of EOT’s Faraday rotators/isolators is related to operating temperature. For information on the effect of operating temperature on EOT’s Faraday rotators/isolators, please contact EOT.
Escape Ports: All EOT high power 1030-1080nm isolators come standard with double escape ports on both the input and output polarizer assemblies. These escape ports can be adjusted by the customer to be either open or closed. If rejrected average power exceeds 0.5W or rejected energy exceeds ?mJ, EOT recommends the escape ports be used. Failure to use the escape ports under these conditions could result in optical damage or degrade the performance of your isolator. Please consult EOT’s User’s Guide on how to use the escape ports.

When placed between crossed polarizers having an extinction ratio of >1000:1, EOT’s Faraday rotators are capable of providing ≥ 30dB isolation for beams having a 1/e 2 beam diameter ≤ 2/3 of the clear aperture.
